Tell Me a Story Or, more precisely, tell me Your story. Why do I want what you are selling me? There is a reason why: • you struck out on your own • your product is good enough to get me to buy it. In the end (and the middle, and the beginning) there is a reason your product exists. It probably would have been a good idea to ask this question earlier, like before you found a bookkeeper, built your calendar, and all the other steps you have already taken. My assumption is that you did ask yourself the question and, if you've found your mentor, you've already told your mentor your story. But, there is one hard and fast rule that you must adopt and you must keep in mind anytime you are making a decision: If it is not written, it does not exist. The more precise, the better the outcome. And you have reached the point where you need to let the world know your story. Your story: • is your self-motivator • tells your client that you own what you are selling • makes your employees and contractors parties to your story • anchors any important decision to what you started and where you're going Your story will always be there. It may develop sequels; it will need new editions. But it is always there.

If you were to think of your core 3 competitors - go on do it now - and look at how your reviews scored compared to theirs, what would you see? Because thats what your customers are seeing. If I am looking for a plumber, and one has 2 5* reviews and the other had 100 5*, where would my attention be going? How good a job are you doing on this, where might you need to focus on getting this automated?
