In this paper, the authors present a comparative study of #half-#duplex (#HD) access points (APs) with #dynamic #time-#division #duplex (#DTDD) and #full-#duplex (#FD) APs in #cell-#free (#CF) systems. Although both DTDD and FD CF systems support #concurrent #downlink (#DL) transmission and #uplink (#UL) reception capability, the sum #spectral #efficiency (#SE) is limited by various cross-link interferences. They first present a novel pilot allocation scheme that minimizes the pilot length required to ensure no pilot contamination among the user equipments (UEs) served by at least one common AP. One of the most important features for efficient particle based #CFD simulation is the Continuous Particle Size (CPS)-model. Performance benchmarks and speed-up tests unequivocally confirm the massive advantages of CPS, particularly in simulations with large domains where small geometrical details have to be resolved. In the simulation below, using a uniform resolution would result in the total number of particles of more than three billion. However, leveraging CPS reduces this to only 90 million particles. Essentially, you benefit from a simulation turnaround time with 90 million particles while achieving accuracy equivalent to more than three billion particles. In this letter, the authors propose the utilization of the hierarchical #Dirichlet #Process #Gamma #Mixture #Model (#DPGMM) to characterize THz channels statistically in the absence of any prior knowledge. DPGMM provides mixture component parameters and the required number of components. A revised #expectation-#maximization (#EM) algorithm is also proposed as a pre-step for DPGMM. #Kullback-#Leibler #Divergence (#KL-#divergence) is utilized as an error metric to examine the amount of inaccuracy of the EM algorithm and DPGMM when modeling the experimental #probability #density #functions (#PDFs). DPGMM and EM algorithm are implemented over the measurements taken at frequencies between 240 GHz and 300 GHz. Interference Cancellation: The core function of XPIC is interference cancellation. This process involves distinguishing between the desired signal and interfering signals based on their polarization characteristics. Once identified, the interfering signals can be effectively removed or canceled, leaving only the desired signal for further processing. Interference cancellation in XPIC typically involves advanced signal processing techniques, such as digital filtering and adaptive algorithms. These methods enable the receiver to extract the polarized components of the incoming signals and calculate the interference to be subtracted from the received signal.
