Celebrating Pride Month at 2K

With Pride Month coming to a close – echoing 2K’s core value of ‘Come As You Are,’ we strive to create an environment where employees are free to express themselves. Here are some of this month’s highlights: 

2K Internal Employee Events 

“All Pride, No Prejudice”: A global event hosted in partnership with Stonewall Museum. 2K was joined by Robert Kesten, Executive Director of Stonewall Museum to discuss the importance of education, banning literature & the impacts of these legislations. 

Spotlight on In-Game Representation

• As part of championing in-game representation, 2K has focused on current LGBTQIA+ representation in our games across our social media channels. Spotlights include: Sue Bird (NBA2K), Dylan Lenivy (The Quarry), Ludwig II (Civ 6), Tiny Tina (Borderlands), Lor (Borderlands).

Pride Week

• A week-long celebration of Pride community and culture, including history, art, media, and music. The celebration also included handwritten notes of encouragement for trans youth and adults. 

2K’s Pride Month planning and celebration is done in partnership with 2Gether@2K Employee Resource Groups (ERG). 2Gether@2K was formed out of the need to create a queer-friendly space within our company and within the industry. 2Gether@2K was born from a common desire to create a safe space and give more visibility to our awesome community of people.
