EGAT wins seven awards from TIE 2022, reflecting its organization of energy innovation

EGAT won seven energy innovation awards from “Taiwan Innotech Expo 2022” (TIE 2022) in which 500 inventions and innovations invented by global inventors and researchers were showcased and nominated for the awards at Taipei, Taiwan in mid-October.

Mr. Prasertsak Cherngchawano, Deputy Governor – Strategy acting the spokesperson of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) said that EGAT has supported the invention and development of innovations which enhance EGAT’s core business of power system security to achieve the organization of energy innovation. EGAT researchers and inventors joined hands with National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) to nominate innovations for “Taiwan Innotech Expo 2022” (TIE 2022)” awards in which a total of 500 inventions were nominated by global inventors and researchers, on October 13-15, 2022 in Taipei, Taiwan. EGAT could win seven awards which are comprised of three Gold Medals, one Silver Medal, one Bronze Medal, one special award from World Invention Intellectual Property Associations, and one special award from INNOPA SPECIAL AWARD, Indonesia.

  • One Gold Medal and the INNOPA SPECIAL AWARD for “Daily Electricity Demand Monitoring Information” which informs up-to-date electricity consumption every day
  • Two Gold Medals for “Automatic Water Pumping System” used with SCADA which reduces expenses as well as installation and removing times and “SMART GEOTECH 2020,” an analysis and processing software for geotechnical engineering to reduce redundancy and work hours
  • The Silver Medal and WIIPA SPECIAL AWARD for “Technical Development for Monitoring Water Wall Tubes with Phased Array” to reduce inspection time and employees’ risk of radiation exposure
  • The Bronze Medal for “Smart Monitoring System” as the communication channel to alert customers; its function is equivalent to a courier tracking system with international standard
