The Number one issue that I hear as an Operations Consultant is....

There is not enough time.

Struggling to find enough time to keep up with their business is a great source of stress to many business owner and leaders. Often, they have lots of great ideas as to the initiatives they would like to launch, if only there was time.

The excitement of business is usually gained from feeling successful, seeing effort turn into achievement with whatever metrics that inspire you the most such as financial returns, completed projects, products or services delivered, a happy workforce; the frustration of not being able to achieve these builds stress and anxiety.

Know where you want to get to

Working with a consultant enables that step back to be taken and a clear path developed to achieve your vision for the business. I have led reviews, strategy development and business growth programmes for over 15 years with considerable success including >50% growth increases, a sale of an SME to one of the largest companies in the world and a very profitable IPO. When I am supporting you, I will lead you through setting the business strategy to look forward, clearly articulating that vision and the roadmap of how to get there. I take a partnering approach rather than solely an advisory one, so that I work with you and your team until the period of substantial adjustment has been successfully achieved so that you are seeing the results of this period of focus.

Know where you are

A critical element of moving forward, is to know where you are. It seems obvious that you would know the business you have run for a number of years, and yet a fresh pair of eyes independently reviewing can yield great insight, particularly for companies that have grown organically. As a start point, having an operational review undertaken takes stock of the business as is, how the elements integrate and their effectiveness of your delivery model. The resulting Gap Analysis will highlight limitations in the current way of working and provide input to process improvement, infrastructure strength and financial security. A business can only operate as efficiently as its biggest constraint so by doing things better time is released, quality, cashflow and morale are improved. I will work with you and your team until sufficient transformation has been achieved to substantially move your business forward towards the vision.
