People of Prospa: Meet Jessica Chiswick

People of Prospa: Meet Jessica Chiswick

My role at Prospa is…

Head of Enterprise and Key Accounts (National Accounts Manager)

I joined Prospa because…

7 years ago, I was working in traditional business banking and I remember seeing an article about Prospa. The challenge Prospa was solving for (providing small businesses with access to fast and flexible funding) resonated with me. I was immediately curious how Prospa could deliver funding in 24 hours when it was taking me weeks in my current role. As fate would have it, Prospa was hiring for a Strategic Partnership Manager.

My typical Tuesday involves…

Working from Prospa’s Sydney office with 100+ Prosparians. The day includes one-on-ones with my team, project working group meetings, and connecting with key stakeholders across the business who support the delivery of great partner and customer outcomes. We all work and win as one team.

When working in the office, I sit next to…

My team of Partner Managers and Partner Specialists. We work together to deliver exceptional partner experiences, and we have fun along the way.

The thing I most love about working at Prospa is…

Being able to support small businesses to make business happen – bringing their big plans to life.

Small businesses like your favourite family-owned coffee shop or local hairdresser. These businesses give so much to our communities, and they’ve been traditionally underserved by banks. At Prospa, we’ve built all our products and experiences around these small business owners. We fund hundreds of small businesses, if not thousands, each month. I’m very proud of our purpose and impact.

The most challenging part of working at Prospa is…

Prioritisation planning. That’s my answer every day.

Customers, partners and our team have great ideas. We can’t spread ourselves too thin or we won’t deliver anything with true conviction.

We have bold, open and real conversations to align and prioritise.

When I’m not working, you can find me…

Walking my two dogs, Franco (Boston Terrier) and Louis (Whippet), with my husband. They’re likely pulling on the lead and ignoring us – but looking very happy.

The one piece of technology I can’t live without is…

Excluding iPhone, active parking assist. It makes parallel parking a breeze!

Something people might be surprised to find out about me is…

I’ve return to university for an academic masters after graduating more than 10 years ago - with support from Prospa. I was also born on a Friday the 13th

The best piece of advice I have ever received is…

What you focus on will expand.

If I could spend once day in another team in Prospa, it would definitely be...

Can I bend the rules and answer, working as a commercial broker in a Prospa partner’s office?

Partners actively share their feedback with me, but walking in their shoes for a day would be even better.

My favourite local small business is…

It’s a tie between our two coffee spots near the Prospa Sydney office in Darlinghurst, Philosophy Cafe and Fragrance Coffee (open until 4pm if you’re after an afternoon caffeine hit).

In 2025, I’m most excited by…

Prospa is adding a new service delivery model called Partner Led – the ability for Prospa partners to submit their clients’ applications direct to Prospa and manage the experience end-to-end.

Prospa is excited to put our products in brokers hands, so now more than ever before, they can provide seamless experiences for their clients.
