We are pleased to announce that Dr. Gregory Schneider has been appointed Associate Dean of Curriculum and Medical Education at FIU Medicine. Dr. Schneider, who is board-certified in family medicine, has taught med students at all levels, concentrating on clinical skills, ethics, and the social factors involved in health. Our dean, Dr. Juan Cendan led the FIU Medicine delegation at this year's Dean's Day in Tallahassee, an annual event hosted by the Florida Council of Medical School Deans. Joining him were fourth-year FIU medical student Zachary Blashinsky and Senior Associate Dean for Finance Sonia Benitez. This important gathering brings together medical school deans from across Florida to meet with state legislators and policymakers, fostering discussions on medical education, health care, and health policy.
