Our mentorship program is more than just a career development initiative — it's a cornerstone of our design culture here at Slack. In fact, over 90% of folks re-join the program either as a mentor or mentee (or both!) every time we launch it. Considering starting a mentorship program in your own organization? Our advice is simple: Keep it structured, but flexible. Encourage people to bring their full selves. And most importantly, create an environment where learning is a two-way street.
