The TD Garden will be welcoming back fans into the arena for Celtics games this spring.
On Thursday, Governor Charlie Baker made the announcement that sporting venues in Massachusetts can reopen at 12 percent capacity starting on March 22nd. The first Boston Celtics home date with fans would come on March 29th in a matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans.
The TD Garden released a full statement announcing the return of spectators on Thursday afternoon along with details about the procedures the arena will be taking to help protect fans amid the COVID-19 pandemic:
“We are thrilled to welcome fans back to TD Garden and we are ready to reopen in a safe and measured way. Ticketing information for Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics games will be forthcoming from the respective teams in the coming days.
“In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, TD Garden has created ‘Play It Safe’, a comprehensive program designed to help protect the health and safety of TD Garden guests and associates and reduce the spread of infectious diseases like COVID-19.”
