Man admitted to killing Kei’Mani Latigue, charging records claim
TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - New court filings on Friday allege the man accused of killing his 13-year-old daughter, Kei’Mani Latigue, admitted to authorities that he killed her. Updated affidavits filed on April 18 allege Darnell Jones, who also goes by Darnell Ogletree, told investigators he dragged the 13-year-old’s body involuntarily to the vacant house on Miami Street in Toledo where he ultimately killed her. The charging documents go on to say Jones admitted to police that he cut her neck with a bladed tool.

County documents on Thursday show the grand jury decided not to move forward with charges against Moustafa, Mohammed, and Ahmed Zaitouni. Toledo man sentenced to prison for robbing multiple banks over the span of five years
TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - A man who was convicted of robbing multiple banks throughout Toledo over the span of five years was sentenced to prison on Thursday. According to records, Hershel Winbush, 68, appeared in court on April 17 where U.S. District Judge Jack Zouhary sentenced him to serve more than 11 years in prison and pay $8,210 in restitution. Once he is released from prison, he will serve two years probation.

Man faces 18 to life after no-contest plea for role in fatal West Toledo shooting
A man prosecutors say was a driver in a fatal shooting in West Toledo last summer pleaded no contest Thursday morning in Lucas County Common Pleas Court to murder. Catarino Rodriguez, 23, of the 1200 block of Cribb Street, also provided the gun that Sean Duhart, 23, of the 3600 block of Willys Parkway, allegedly used to kill Michael Bradford-Washington near Hoiles and Sylvania avenues on Feb. 11, 2024, Angela Zavac, an assistant Lucas County prosecutor, told Judge Stacy Cook. He and Mr. Duhart then tried to dump a rented car he drove during the shooting into an East Toledo pond afterward, Ms. Zavac said. Along with his no-contest plea to murder, Rodriguez pleaded no contest to an attached three-year gun specification and to second-degree participation in a criminal gang.

Oregon plans 3 roundabouts along Wynn Road
Oregon is planning to construct three roundabouts along Wynn Road at three intersections. Those intersections are Wynn and Brown roads, Wynn and Pickle roads, and Wynn and Corduroy roads. “We’ve had many accidents at these intersections,” Mayor Mike Seferian said during a city council meeting Monday. “People wanted to know what we could do to improve those intersections.” Public Service Director Paul Roman said those intersections have two-way stops, which increase the risk of traffic collisions when motorists think they are four-way stops. Drivers expect the cross traffic to stop too.
