This April, join NCPR and SLC Arts in Potsdam in celebrating National Poetry Month! Every weekday in April, NCPR will be sharing a new poem submitted by our listeners and readers. You'll find the collection of poems at NCPR.org/Poetry as well as in the NCPR Daily newsletter. 

Poems will be curated by Ethan Shantie, host of NCPR's The HOWL Podcast. Ethan is the author of three collections of poetry, including 2016's "we meet by accident," published through Ghost City Press in Syracuse, NY. His work also recently appeared in Glint Literary Journal. 

We're accepting submissions until the end of the month! To be considered, please email your work to [email protected]. Poems must be original and appropriate for all ages.

At the end of April, NCPR and SLC Arts will choose their favorite piece and award the writer a swag bag of NCPR and SLC Arts merch. 

SLC Arts is located at the Creative Spirit Community Arts Center, 6-8 Raymond Street in Potsdam. They regularly hold poetry, fiction, and playwriting workshops which are available free of charge to the public. For more information on how to get involved, email [email protected].
