A hundred years ago | Sun’s rays and wireless

Leafield (Oxford) Jan. 28: It appears that the solar eclipse last Saturday, undoubtedly had an effect on the reception of wireless signals. Experts of the British Broadcasting Corporation Coy., have been studying reports sent in by listeners and officials. The Company states that although round London the reception showed no variation from the normal, listeners living upwards of 70 miles from London, reported a great change in the strength of signals during the eclipse.
