How to get a job in inZOI
Here's how to apply for jobs in inZOI, along with a comprehensive list of the careers available at launch.
If you ever wanted proof that we live in a society, look no further than the fact that even our fantasy-fulfillment life sims see our gorgeous digital avatars forced to participate in the daily grind. inZOI is no exception, since it features an in-game economy where things like food and housing and cars cost money; and while the game is actually pretty kind to those just starting out, the best versions of all of the above cost a lot of money.
So what are you to do? Well, you could use the money cheat, of course, but that would be ignoring the fact that many Zois also rely on their jobs to give them a sense of purpose in their simulated life. Whether they're short for cash, aspiring to greater luxuries, or genuinely responding to a higher calling, most Zois will require a job sooner rather than later.
On this page, we explain how to get a job in inZOI, as well as providing a comprehensive list of the jobs available in each city at launch.
How to get a job in inZOI
To begin an application – whether for work or school – you first need to open your Zoi's smartphone, which is represented by a pink flip-phone symbol next to their portrait on the UI at the bottom of the screen. (Either click the icon or press P on your keyboard.)
The phone will appear as a new UI pop-up on the screen's right-hand side, stylised like a smartphone home screen displaying a variety of apps. Select the one labelled Career to begin applying for jobs. If your Zoi is currently unemployed, the app's icon will be a purple one featuring a magnifying glass with an information symbol inside it; if they're already employed, the icon will show their current employers' logo.

Unlike in other notable life sims, Zois technically don't apply to join a career but to work for an individual employer. Each employer in your Zoi's city has their own tab in the Careers app, including information about pay and work hours for each open position, so be sure to look at everything that's available if you're not sure what job to go for straight away.
When you find a job you like, simply click the Apply button next to it on the app. You'll be given a pop-up notification to confirm your interest in applying, which is your last opportunity to back out if you change your mind. Note that although higher-tier job vacancies will be visible, the option to apply above entry level will be greyed out during your initial job hunt.

Job applications in inZOI seem to be immediately and automatically accepted in all cases, although this may be a quirk of early access. The Career app will then default to displaying information about your new role, including work hours, pay, and tasks; but you can always return to the recruitment tab and apply for something else if you decide you want to pursue a different calling.
What jobs are available in inZOI?
At the time of writing, there are 12 careers available in each city in inZOI, although of course this number may well change as the game continues through early access. Note that different jobs will be available depending on whether your Zois live in Dowon or Bliss Bay, and while there's some overlap between the careers available in the two cities, the majority are exclusive based on location – so if you have a particular career path in mind, it's worth thinking about where you want your Zois to live!
Here's a quick overview of the types of work your Zois can apply for:
- Two part-time careers per city
- Two full-time active careers per city
- Eight full-time rabbit hole careers per city
In case you're unfamiliar, "active careers" refer to jobs where you accompany your Zoi throughout their day at work and guide their activities, while "rabbit hole careers" see your Zoi disappear into an inaccessible building and go about their workday without your input.
Most careers have a single path with three levels of promotion, although there are some exceptions: part-time jobs will have either one or two levels, while active careers may have separate branches and/or shorter tracks.

Your young adult to middle aged Zois can always apply for an entry-level job in any career, even if it sounds like it should be above their experience level – for example, a high school graduate with no degree can still enter the University Professor career. However, you won't be able to apply for higher level positions within the same job path right away.
Note that at the time of writing, teenaged and senior Zois can't apply for jobs, even part-time roles. It's unclear at this point whether senior Zois are forced to retire once they age up, or if they're able to continue with their adult career until they choose to leave, but we'll update this page with that information once we find it out!
