Jourdan Dunn has revealed that she’s engaged, taking to Instagram to post a romantic picture of herself wearing a halo oval-cut diamond ring featuring a pavé band. “Jourdan Dunn Hamilton,” the 29-year-old British Vogue cover star mused. “Has a nice ring to it.” Dunn continued the celebrations in her Instagram Stories, sharing a video of the massive bouquets of flowers sent to her following the big news, with “Happy” by Ashanti fittingly playing in the background: “I’m so happy that I fell in love / I thank God he sent you from above…”

Dunn first sparked rumours that she was engaged on 1 January, when she shared a photograph of herself, her son Riley, and her now-fiancé Dion “Sincere” Hamilton on a beach in Jamaica. “2009 my son entered my life, 2019 my life partner entered my life, stepping into 2020 with both by my side is priceless,” she captioned the picture. Hamilton is both a rap artist and the founder of streetwear brand Lizzy.

This is just the latest in a string of recent wins for the ultimate London girl – including deciding to be entirely herself at all costs after more than a decade in the spotlight. “It’s so exhausting pretending,” she told Yomi Adegoke in the cover interview for British Vogue’s November 2019 issue. Not that Dunn has ever shied away from speaking her mind, having called out racism in the fashion industry throughout her career. These days, she’s thrilled to have company in taking people to task. “Everybody comes together and backs each other now,” she explained to Vogue, highlighting the many positive impacts of social media. “What I love about this generation is that everyone’s so fearless and everyone has a voice.”
