About us

Wolf is reimagining community safety by empowering anyone with WhatsApp to report suspicious activities, share real-time updates, and provide anonymous witness statements. By sending Wolf a messages and images, anyone can actively participate in preventing crime, creating a safer environment through collective vigilance. The more information Wolf receives, the smarter and more efficient it becomes. Built as an AI-native project, Wolf leverages advanced machine learning to analyse data, predict potential threats, and optimise patrol routes for armed response teams. Multilingual in Zulu, English, Afrikaans, and Spanish, Wolf ensures global accessibility and engagement. Together, we can make crime prevention smarter, faster, and more proactive. Agentic Public Safety Technology @ Community Wolf

Hello, Hi, Hey, Yo...  All English greetings, right?  Apparently not Earlier this week, a South African user greeted Wolf with a simple “Yo” Casual Friendly Standard But Wolf had other ideas. Because “Yo” is also Spanish for “I” And Wolf, being the overachiever that it is, switched to full-blown Spanish The user? Definitely not Spanish Probably never spoken a word of it in their life At first glance, it looks like Community Wolf messed up But really? Wolf was doing exactly what it was trained to do: Detect the language and adapt The real issue? We didn’t account for the tiny, human nuances of global greetings This is the challenge of working with language models You test You train You tweak And then...  A two-letter word reminds you there’s always something you missed We’ve made adjustments Wolf now takes a breath before jumping to conclusions More context. Less assumption. Every “mistake” is just a reminder AI doesn’t fail It teaches you what to fix next And that’s why building with AI is part science, part humility

Eventually the entire public safety network in South Africa will run via Whatsapp. It will run via Wolf 🐺 Today it doesn't but we moved the ball forward by adding some features we had previously had on our platform directly into the whatsapp assistant. - Adding areas to monitor (be alerted in reports fall within them) - Sharing areas with loved ones and friends - No more google login. just whatsapp This week we activate Kayamandi in Stellies. We are working with the ward councillors and key members who want a safer community. Few other updates to come in the next few days and even Nick Mills getting on camera I heard? I said I would be sharing in public what is going on with Community Wolf, so here is an update from myself, but by extension from Nick Mills and the rest of the Wolf team. TLDR: You can add areas to get alerted and I show you how to do it here Areas are great, use them Wolf is going a bit crazy right now I have a cold If you work in the security industry, are interested in hearing about Wolf, or are just an average citizen, we ask you to start using Wolf. Let us know what you think and help us make the world a safer place. Okay bye!

One suspect was charged and detained in Slangspruit, PMB, yesterday morning. A complaint was received of a business robbery that occurred in the French area. The complainant was pointed with a firearm, and his container tuck shop was robbed of cash and cell phones. The complainant described the suspect’s vehicle as a Toyota Rumion, white in colour. Another role player proceeded into Slangspruit and located the vehicle whilst sharing information with SAPS and the operational team. The vehicle was stopped, and one suspect was arrested with the help of another security partner. The suspect was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm allegedly used in the robbery, whilst the cell phones and cash that were taken from the robbery were also recovered. Shout out to all role players who responded, including our Fidelity SIU, SAPS K9, Flying Squad, and others. #FidelitySIU #Pietermaritzburg #arrest #jointoperation #GoingTheExtraMile #FidelityHeroes #vigilance #teamwork #peaceofmind #alwaysthereforyou #keepingyousafe #securingyourassets #keepingwatch #safetyfirst #FidelityServicesGroup #WeAreFidelity #SAPS

Added some features to Community Wolf that we think are pretty cool. Users who have accounts can set up 'areas' where they want to be alerted of activity. When a report is added by anyone else and it falls within your area you get a text message with the details. Alternatively you can get all the same info via email or webhook. Private security can now finally handle all the whatsapp traffic, plus cluster alerts for their customers. All this happens from whatsapp, which is used by 30 million South Africans and hundreds of millions of people around the world. oh and this was a weekend project which seems to be gaining a tone of traction! Stoked. Nick Mills first sent me a message 1 month ago...

  • Have you ever seen a Coke bottle in the road? This may be more than litter—it may be a potential hazard, and when shared with Wolf, it becomes invaluable. Through spatial intelligence, Wolf can take simple footage like this and map it in real-time, alerting the community and armed response teams if a potential risk is identified. By combining text, images and video reports from users, Wolf analyses patterns which have the ability to pinpoint risks and let people in the area know. Your video isn’t just a recording—it’s data that can prevent accidents, reduce criminal activity, and create safer streets. See something out of place? Share it with Wolf and let spatial intelligence do the rest. All you need is a smartphone, WhatsApp, and data. Share your suspicions with Wolf, anywhere, anytime, in any language. Anonymously. http://wa.me/+447488879934 Incident map: https://lnkd.in/dHYfRnnz #CommunitySafety #SpatialIntelligence #CryWolf #CrimePrevention
