SARB prediction for loadshedding for the year; a whopping 200 days from April. That means from tomorrow we will have only 46 days of NO LOADSHEDDING. Prepare yourself as dark days lie ahead. Just strange how loadshedding totally disappears just before elections, can't we have quarterly elections as this will completely solve our loadshedding problem. It will also prevent criminals from playing in the government for 30 years.

While the Bill introduces much-needed reforms, public skepticism lingers about whether these changes will translate into meaningful improvements on the ground. A Long Journey: First introduced in 2020, the Bill has faced years of delays, with its implementation timeline eroding confidence in the government’s urgency and commitment to tackling South Africa’s alarming road safety crisis. What the Bill Covers: Key measures in the legislation include: ✅ Stricter oversight of driver and vehicle fitness, including suspension and cancellation of examiner registrations. ✅ Registration and grading of driving schools, license testing centers, and stakeholders like weighbridge facilities and number plate suppliers. ✅ Conflict of interest bans for traffic officers, vehicle examiners, and their spouses. ✅ Mandates for emergency services to respond immediately and effectively to road incidents. ✅ Crackdowns on corruption, including fraud related to learner and driver’s licenses. Aligned with the National Road Safety Strategy: The reforms aim to deliver on the five pillars of the National Road Safety Strategy: 1️⃣ Road Safety Management: Strengthening governance and enforcement structures. 2️⃣ Safer Roads and Mobility: Enhancing infrastructure and ensuring safer transit routes. 3️⃣ Safer Vehicles: Regulating vehicle manufacturing, inspections, and modifications. 4️⃣ Safer Road Users: Promoting responsible driving behavior and better education. 5️⃣ Post-Crash Response: Ensuring swift and effective emergency services. A Reality Check: For decades, similar reforms have failed to produce significant results due to corruption, resource constraints, and a lack of accountability. Passing legislation is only the first step—its enforcement and execution will determine whether South Africa’s roads truly become safer. The government now faces a critical challenge: to prove that this isn’t just another policy exercise but a real commitment to transforming road safety. South Africa’s High-Speed Rail Project- New Bullet Train from Gauteng to Limpopo on the cards- Plans for a high-speed rail line between Gauteng and Limpopo are gathering momentum, with officials from both provinces collaborating to finalize the project. Productive discussions have occurred between Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi and Limpopo Premier Phophi Ramathuba, who are dedicated to bringing this transformative transportation initiative to life. The project has been formally approved for implementation, with both provinces establishing the necessary protocols to drive the project forward. President Cyril Ramaphosa recently highlighted the project’s significance as part of South Africa’s National Rail Masterplan, a nationwide strategy expected to be complete by the end of 2025. The master plan aims to modernize and expand the country’s rail infrastructure, underscoring high-speed rail as a critical component for connecting major cities and bolstering economic growth. High-speed trains between “smart cities” have long been part of Ramaphosa’s vision. Like China’s 600 km/h models, such trains could offer rapid, efficient travel across long distances. For instance, a bullet train between Johannesburg and Durban could drastically reduce travel times, making intercity commuting faster and more accessible. Premier Lesufi initially announced the Gauteng-Limpopo Rail Link Project in October 2023. Both provinces conducted feasibility studies to assess project costs, though these estimates are pending approval by the National Treasury before the tendering phase. However, financing offers from one local and one Chinese institution have already been secured, demonstrating international interest in the project’s potential. The rail network will integrate parts of the existing north-south corridor and span two development phases. Towns along the route, such as Pretoria, Hammanskraal, Bela-Bela, Mokopane, Polokwane, Louis Trichardt, and Musina, are set to become key economic hubs, creating jobs and fostering growth within these regions. So many voices and opinions to influence us in some or another direction. More so with this very important election which most certainly would be even more significant than the 1994 elections which was a first step in “Trusting God”. Tomorrow we all shall be faced with ballot papers to VOTE for a Party that hopefully would direct South Africa towards “NEW HORISONS”. The Problem is that our hope in human efforts are prone to failure, whether we would like to admit it or not. The ONLY SOLUTION IS GOD, OUR HEAVENLY FATHER THROUGH HIS SON JESUS CHRIST BY THE WORKING AND MANIFESTATION OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT BY THE OBEDIENCE OF HIS SERVANTS. These servants implicate all true believers and followers of the Gospel of Good News (The Bible) Scripture warns us in Hebrews 3 and 4 against UNBELIEF and STUBBORNESS, which reflects on DISOBEDIENCE. God clearly warns us in Hebrew 3:13 to …instead warn (admonish, urge, and encourage) one another every day, as long as it is called Today, that none of you may be hardened [into settled rebellion] by the deceitfulness of sin [by the fraudulence, the stratagem, the trickery which the delusive glamor of his sin may play on him]. BASED ON VERSE 14 …we have become fellows with Christ (the Messiah) and share in all He has for us if only we hold our first newborn confidence and original assured expectation [in virtue of which we are believers] firm and unshaken to the end. MAY WE ALL STAND IN UNITY as believers and PUT OUR TRUST IN GOD ALMIGHTY. He is the COMMANDER OF THE ARMIES OF HEAVEN and shall not forsake us in spite of whatever challenges we may face. Be it as in the day of David versus Goliath, etc. DO NOT DOUBT WHAT HE (GOD) CAN DO with a minority of radical Christians in Government who are willing to serve our NATION – South Africa from a Godly perspective. Do not make the mistake of leaning on your own understanding and siding with an ungodly large party, that does not oppose sexual immorality, the murdering of the innocent and propagating a “woke” agenda, and has taken God out of the Constitution. God will keep us accountable for such a decision (x – x-marked on a ballot paper) if we as believers and apparent followers of Christ do not act accordingly. Your VOTE reflects your FAITH & BELIEF in God’s Word.
