Ono Fuyumi is the author of the Juuni Kokuki best-selling novel and anime series, which has readers from varying age groups and circa 15 million copies in print. She is also the creator of the popular teen "The Evil Spirit Series" novel series, out of which a manga and anime version titled Ghost Hunt was made. More recently, her Shiki novel was also adapted into manga, and the manga version was subsequently adapted into anime as well.
After getting married, her actual name became Uchida Fuyumi (内田不由美), but she still writes under her maiden name.
