Kelun was a Japanese rock band signed to SME Records.
Kelun was originally a band named Utari, formed in April 2006. Their mini album, "Utari", was released in November 2006. It took the indie charts by storm and the band went on their first tour, dubbed the "February Tour" in February 2007. In September 2007, the band officially changed its name to Kelun.
"Astral Lamp", the band's first CD, was a mini album featuring six tracks that was released in November 2007 under SME Records. The anime Gintama used "Signal", from "Astral Lamp", as its 7th ending theme.
In February 2008, the group embarked on a major tour called "Astral Circuit" across Japan. On 20th February 2008, they released "Sixteen Girl" as a single. It was chosen by Japan Countdown, a music program aired on TV Tokyo, as its opening theme song.
In April 2008, the band went on a tour of Kanto, dubbed the "April Tour". In May 2008, bassist Satou Shuusaku left and was replaced by Yukito. Kelun's second single, "Chu-Bura", was released in July 2008 and was used by the anime Bleach as its 8th opening theme. In September 2008, the band released "Kelun", a self-titled studio album featuring seventeen tracks.
On 25 October 2009, the group gave the last concert.
