KSquirrel is abandoned since 2008. Its source code has been moved to https://github.com/HappySeaFox/ksquirrel. The image codecs from KSquirrel have been rebranded in 2020 as a fast and lightweight cross-platform image library called SAIL. See https://sail.software. You can still try KSquirrel in the Trinity Desktop
