The method includes in one example, presenting augmented reality (AR) content, the presented AR content showing a set of objects, at least some of the objects of the set of objects being rendered 3D objects; receiving an input identifying one of the objects of the set of objects; and responsive to the input, providing updated AR content, the updated AR content replacing at least one of the objects with a different rendered 3D object, wherein the replaced at least one of the objects is determined based on the identified one of the objects of the set of objects.

Abstract: The techniques herein are directed generally to managing hotel guest departures within an automated guest satisfaction and services scheduling system. In particular, in the present disclosure, for instance, the techniques herein provide a method and system to allow guests to easily manage and schedule their departure (check-out) through the interactive interface. The interface may include various modal notifications regarding check-out options, such as requesting the guest to enter their departure time preferences. The system also facilitates notification of a housekeeping services scheduler, and further allows the hotel to incentivize or monetize different check-out times.

Abstract: A media application selects, from a collection of images associated with a user account, candidate pairs of images, where each pair includes a first static image and a second static image from the user account. The media application applies a filter to select a particular pair of images from the candidate pairs of images. The media application generates, using an image interpolator, one or more intermediate images based on the particular pair of images. The media application generates a video that includes three or more frames arranged in a sequence, where a first frame of the sequence is the first static image, a last frame of the sequence is the second static image, and each of the one or more intermediate images is a corresponding intermediate frame of the sequence between the first frame and the last frame.

Abstract: A withdrawer computing device may send to an application server device a cash withdrawal request for a cash withdrawal of an amount of physical cash. Abstract: An online concierge system requests an image of a receipt of an order from a picker after the picker fulfills the order at a store. The online concierge system performs image processing on the image of the receipt and uses machine learning and optical character recognition to determine a tax amount paid for the order and a confidence score associated with the tax amount. The online concierge system may use the machine learning model for segmenting extracted text in the image of the receipt into tokens. The online concierge system may then determine at least one token associated with a tax item and the tax amount associated with the tax item. The online concierge system communicates the tax amount to the store for reimbursement based on the tax amount and the confidence score.

A content queuing system on the secondary device generates and displays a playlist interface on the secondary device. A selection of a content item to be added to a playlist is received. The content queuing system determines that addition of the content item causes a live content item to overlap with an on-demand content item on the playlist. As a result, the content queuing system creates at least two segments for the on-demand content item. The live content item is positioned between the first and a second segment on the playlist. The first segment is scheduled to end at a start time of the live content item and the second segment is scheduled to begin at an ending time of the live content item.

Abstract: A tool allows a user to create new designs for apparel and preview these designs in three dimensions before manufacture. Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. Based on a laser input file with a pattern, a laser will burn the pattern onto apparel. With the tool, the user will be able to create, make changes, and view images of a design, in real time, before burning by a laser. The tool can be accessed in a client-server environment, such as executing via a Web browser.

In some examples, a method may include predicting data representing, for example, a zone of time in which depletion of an item is predicted. The method may also include receiving another electronic message, and transmitting a control message to a merchant computing system to initiate adaptive distribution to replenish the item, among other things.

Abstract: Methods and systems for managing workloads in a distributed computing environment are disclosed. The distributed computing environment may include dedicated infrastructure for performing the workloads and on-demand infrastructure that may be used to perform the workloads with attached increment cost for performance of workloads. It may be preferable to host the workloads with the dedicated infrastructure. However, the dedicated infrastructure may not always have sufficient computing resources to host all of the workloads that are to be performed over time. The disclosed methods and system may provide for workload management by automating workload instantiation, migration, and resource expansion of dedicated infrastructure.

Abstract: A point of sale terminal of a merchant includes a third party payment provider display area for payment using a third party payment provider. The point of sale terminal receives an authentication notification for a consumer from the third party payment provider. The consumer is authenticated using one or more of a personal identification number, an image of the consumer, a quick response code scanned from a mobile device of the consumer, or a code received via near field communications with the mobile device of the consumer. The point of sale terminal requests payment from the third party payment provider for a transaction with the consumer using the transaction amount and authentication information. The third party provider display area allows new payment modalities to be used at the point of sale terminal without requiring modification of the instructions for the point of sale terminal.
