Abstract: System and method for adaptively processing financial payments. A payment provider service obtains verification of information for approval of an electronic payment in a web-based sale. A payment gateway includes a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon a series of program steps and a database which stores rules applicable to transactions. Execution of the program steps implements a compliance and payment process, based on compliance rules and funds approval of the transaction. Execution of the compliance and payment process provides a decision whether to block or authorize the transaction. When the compliance and payment process provides a decision to authorize a transaction, the program steps provide a request to the payment provider service for transfer of electronic funds to provide the seller's payment.

Abstract: Systems, computer program products, and methods are described herein for containerization of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The present invention is configured to electronically receive, from a computing device of a first user, a request for a containerized non-fungible token (NFT) for at least two resources; initiate a non-fungible token (NFT) generator on the at least two resources in response to receiving the request; extract resource information from the at least two resources; generate, using the NFT generator, the containerized NFT for the at least two resources, wherein the NFT comprises at least the resource information extracted from the at least two resources; and record the containerized NFT on a distributed ledger.

Abstract: In a resource-metering data network, slice control circuitry instantiates a wireless network slice that comprises hardware-trust circuitry, ledger-client circuitry, distributed-ledger circuitry, and resource-meter circuitry. The hardware-trust circuitry establishes hardware-trust with the ledger-client circuitry, the distributed-ledger circuitry, and the resource-meter circuitry. The resource-meter circuitry measures resource-usage and wirelessly transfer meter data characterizing the resource-usage. The ledger-client circuitry receives the meter data from the resource-metering circuitry and transfers the meter data to the distributed-ledger circuitry. The distributed-ledger circuitry executes distributed ledger transactions with the meter data, generates resource-usage results, and commits the meter data and the resource-usage results to different distributed ledgers in a blockchain format.

Abstract: Methods and systems that manage building code compliance are provided. A smart or interconnected home may be populated with multiple smart or other devices that are in wired or wireless communication with a central controller. The smart devices may be covered by an insurance policy, such as a homeowners, renters, or personal articles insurance policy. The controller may receive building code compliance information associated with the smart devices, and may update an inventory list to include the building code compliance information. The controller may detect that one or more devices do not comply with building code requirements. The controller may transmit a notification to a customer about possible corrective actions to remedy non-compliant conditions and to facilitate building code compliance. The smart devices may be associated with appliances, electronics, wiring, pipes, ducts, or other equipment or personal belongings.

Abstract: A building analysis (“BA”) system for detecting events of a building includes a plurality of sensors positioned within a building, a memory device including an optimal profile of an infrastructure, and a building analysis (“BA”) server communicatively coupled to the plurality of sensors. The infrastructure is at least one of (i) a fixture associated with the building and (ii) at least one person located within the building. The BA system includes one or more processors in communication with the memory that are programmed to: (i) receive sensor data related to the infrastructure, (ii) compare the sensor data to the optimal profile to detect an event, (iii) determine a recommended action based upon the detected event, (iv) execute the recommended action to mitigate at least one of damage caused by the detected event to the building and injury caused by the detected event to the at least one person.

Abstract: A cannabis tracking assembly for tracking the progress of cannabis products through a retail chain includes a tracking unit that can be manipulated by a user in a cannabis retail environment. The tracking unit is actuatable to scan identifying data from cannabis products received from a manufacturer and cannabis products sold to customers. In this way the tracking unit can track the cannabis products throughout the retail distribution chain. Additionally, the tracking unit has point of sale capabilities to process payments received from retail customers of the cannabis products. The tracking unit is in remote communication with a remote data storage device to transfer data to and from the remote data storage device.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for mitigation of fraudulent transactions. In some embodiments, a server is communicatively coupled to a user device, and is configured to receive a proposed transaction from a merchant device communicatively coupled to the server, apply a dynamic classification algorithm to the proposed transaction to determine if the proposed transactions appears to be fraudulent, generate a user verification request when the proposed transaction appears to be fraudulent, transmit the user verification request to a user computing device communicatively coupled to the server, receive an approval or a refusal of the proposed transaction based on the user verification request, and process the proposed transaction based on the received approval or refusal of the proposed transaction.

Abstract: Techniques are described for automatically generating meta-alerts based on operational and security risk alert volumes for an entity. In particular, a central device receives entity alert information from other devices in a computer system of an enterprise business, which may have office branches that are each staffed by employees. The central device compares alert volumes of a given entity for a given period of time (e.g., a month) to one or more baseline thresholds determined based on the average alert volume of peer entities during the same period of time and the entity's own historical alert volumes to identify spikes or increases in the volume of alerts for the given entity. If the entity is trending high for the period of time, the central device generates a meta-alert to bring awareness to the relatively high volume of alerts identified for that entity.

Abstract: A system, method and computer readable medium for dynamically determining location-based rules affecting item sales at POS registers for a particular location and for distributing the location-based rules to the POS registers is discussed. A location-based ruleset of rules regulating sales of items at an individual store is created and transmitted to the store along with a rule group to item map file that maps rules and warnings to individual store items. A rules engine at the store provides updated item sale rules and warnings to POS registers based on the location-based ruleset and rule group to item map file. Embodiments thus provide an improved system for updating POS registers at different store locations with location-based rules specific to the store location.

In one aspect, a method includes receiving a target location comprising a geographic identifier. The method also includes accessing a data store comprising a plurality of maps. Each map of the plurality of maps includes a plurality of geometric shapes and each geometric shape is associated with an execution rule. The method also includes determining which geometric shape of the plurality of geometric shapes the geographic identifier is bounded within for at least two maps of the plurality of maps. The method further includes generating an aggregate rule set based on each execution rule associated with each geometric shape determined to bound the geographic identifier. Abstract: The disclosed technology addresses the need in the art for synchronizing a content library between a content management system and client devices. Each content item in a user's content library is stored on the content management system and a record of each change to the content library is recorded in a content journal. A client device transmits a synchronization request that a portion of the content journal representing unsynchronized changes be processed to update the content library on the client device. The synchronization request includes a content library identifier and a content journal number identifying the content entry in the content journal last processed by the client device. Synchronization commands are sent based on the content entries not processed by the client device. Updated synchronization data representing the processed content entries is sent to the client device after synchronization is completed.

Document templates are maintained and each template includes data fields each associated with a data field identifier. Data values are received in one or more of the data fields of at least one document template. The data values are associated with the data fields into which the data values are received via the data field identifiers for those data fields. A property address is received and a set of compliance rules is identified. A subset of the document templates are retrieved as active documents for a transaction of the property based on the identified rules. The active documents are populated with those data fields that are associated with the linked data values via the data field identifiers. Compliance checking of the populated data values in the active documents is performed using a compliance rule set.

The server receives a request to perform a registry event on a domain name and checks if there are tags associated with the domain name of which the event was requested. Security measures can be used on the mobile device to prevent theft of a PIN during software PIN entry of a payment transaction. The mobile device can prevent the keypad or other input interface from displaying feedback. The mobile device can also prevent passcodes from being stolen by displaying media encoded with digital rights management (DRM) and by managing the media and user inputs at a secure server. A mobile device can securely communicate with a card reader for a payment transaction using asymmetric or symmetric encryption.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for expanding the storage capacity of one or more DVRs in a household by attaching them to a shared network storage device are described. Recorded content is encrypted in at least some embodiments on a per customer basis rather than on a per DVR basis allowing content to be moved between devices at a customer premise and played back by any of the devices at the customer premise where the content was recorded. Network congestion delays are avoided by allowing a user to specify when content is to be locally available at a DVR and moving the content prior to the specified time, if necessary, to the local storage device in the DVR. DVRs can access, decrypt and display content stored on the network storage device that was recorded by another DVR in the same household.

According to one embodiment, the action taken to prohibit the purchase of the regulated item is automatically implemented at a server system configured to implement electronic commerce transactions between an on-line merchant and the customer. According to a specific implementation, the predetermined criteria correspond to regulations which restrict sales of the regulated items to persons in a particular jurisdiction based upon certain criteria such as, for example, time of day, day of week, age of the customer, type of product being sold, etc.
