Manchester United shipped Marcus Rashford off on loan to Aston Villa in February after the winger fell out of favour under Ruben Amorim. But the England star could now help the Red Devils raise £310million in the summer if he agrees a permanent move away from Old Trafford.

Rashford has struggled for form in recent years and moved to the Villans to rediscover his golden touch in the final third. His time in the west Midlands has been promising, with the 27-year-old racking up four assists in nine games and earning a recall to the England team under Thomas Tuchel. And United reportedly want to cash in on him during the summer transfer window.

Villa have an option to sign Rashford for £40m at the end of the season. And they would likely push for a similar fee if they agree a sale with a different club.

The United academy graduate could be one of eight high-profile departures this summer, with teenager Kobbie Mainoo also in the frame to exit Old Trafford if he can’t agree terms on a new deal.

The 13-time Premier League champions would demand around £70m for the midfielder, who has been a regular since breaking into the side last season.

United will also be desperate to offload Jadon Sancho for good, with Chelsea due to pay the north west giants £25m to secure the winger’s services permanently following his loan spell at Stamford Bridge. But there has been talk that the Blues could pay a financial penalty to get out of the deal.

Another player who has temporarily departed Old Trafford is Brazilian flop Antony. The winger, who cost United a staggering £81m in 2022, endured a nightmare spell in Manchester before joining Real Betis on loan in January. The Red Devils will reportedly accept £40m to agree a sale.

Amorim is said to be open to losing Andre Onana as well this summer, with the goalkeeper guilty of making a string of errors since moving to England from Inter Milan in 2023.

The club will probably want to recoup the majority of the £47m they paid for the shot-stopper, which means they could settle for a fee of £40m.

Casemiro is another player United have been trying to move on for years. The Brazil midfielder earns a staggering £350,000 per week at Old Trafford but has underwhelmed for most of his career in England. His current employers are thought to be chasing a fee in the region of £25m to sanction a move to Saudi Arabia.

Alejandro Garnacho may also head through the exit at the end of the campaign after being linked with Chelsea and Napoli in January. United reportedly turned down a £40m from the Italian club and are holding out for £60m to let him go.

Finally, Harry Maguire could accept a new challenge elsewhere. But as he’s 32 now, United may only get around £10m for him.

If United can offload all those stars, they could net themselves north of £300m. And that cash could fund the purchase of players who could come in and turn the team’s fortunes around once and for all.
