Here's how you can create successful digital strategy campaigns through creativity.
My firm analyzed the top 1000 growth stories from the past decade and the most successful companies utilized consistent high-tempo testing to test, validate and optimize their understanding of ICPs (ideal customer profiles), the messages and "hooks" that attract the top ICPs, and the mix of channels and tactics that are used to communicate and engage. With more competitors and lower barriers to entry, marketers are typically faced with a difficult challenge breaking through the noise to build quality brand relationships with customers. Apply the Japanese concept of Kaizen, continuous improvement in order to consistently analyze the data, develop hypotheses, test and optimize with a clear focus on deepening understanding of what works.

Here's how you can create successful digital strategy campaigns through creativity.
In my experience, most teams don't segment their target customer base deeply enough, review data and test hypotheses in order to truly understand and document the ideal customer profile (ICP). To gain real insight into who are the best customers today, it requires a deep analysis of macroeconomics, external market forces, buying behaviors, competition, and pain points. Use the job to be done framework to ensure you are focusing on solving what customers feel are must-solve problems (the jobs to be done), and find the niches where demand is the strongest and competition is weakest. Continually review, make hypotheses and validate who you believe to be your top ICPs via testing. Go beyond generic demographic data to discover your true ICPs.

Here's how you can create successful digital strategy campaigns through creativity.
To understand your goals means to get in alignment with the overall corporate growth goals. I prefer to use Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) that start at the business unit level and extend down to each area of marketing. I recommend mapping the current baseline growth metrics for digital; how many leads and opportunities are generated by each channel (using a last attribution model). And what are the current conversion rates at each stage of the funnel all the way to closed / won. Using a model to project growth that includes all of the current conversion rates and the average first year ACV (average contract value) and the projected pipeline coverage needed to hit the revenue target, map the gap between current bench and goal. Let's go!

What’s More Important in Growth? The Product, the Tools, or the Process?

In a world driven by tech it’s easy to fall in love with the product or the software tools used by leading growth teams. But is the technology really the most important factor in driving long term sustainable growth?
