Note to reader: I've never played the Wind ~A Breath of Heart~ game, and I've only seen the sucktastic TV series before I found this little omake. So I did kinda have a hang of the story and characters before I watched this.
Another note: If you can't play the game, then at least watch the TV series before you watch this OAV. It will make this much more enjoyable.
Animation: Since it's an one episode OAV, I expected better then normal animation then when compared to the TV series. Well, the OP animation was gorgeous, as it came from Makoto Shinkai. The 16 minute episode itself had some quirks, but it was passable. Makoto looks a lot better in this OAV than the TV series, and the chibiness factor in this OAV makes it much more enjoyable.
Sound: Once again, Tenmon of Beyond the Clouds makes his mark with another brilliant OP-ED combo. I also liked the piano rendition of the ~Dream~ theme, and there was enough BGMs to keep this OAV interesting.
Story: What story? We have all the characters back planning a Christmas party, and Hikari comes back and crashes it. I liked the powers that the characters were given with, and the ominous blimp that's never fully explained (hahahaha).
Character: Every character is back! Each with its own quirks and characteristics. Makoto's as dweebish as ever, and Minamo should keep her hair down. I never really got the point of the blonde girl (forgot her name) or Wakaba-chan, but Tsutomu stole this show. Man he's so much like Taishi from Comic Party. Every time he appears with Shikouin I'd crack up. And the Nnl subs were very explanatory in the characters, so great job at that.
Value: Well, it's only an one episode OAV, so I can't value this too much. Good for players of the game probably, or drama-romance geeks like me.
Enjoyment: Sadly, I enjoyed this one episode OAV more than the whole TV series. Guess the Omake was better than the original eh?
