This HAD a huge possibility of being a great series. But it feels like everything fell short, not by a little, by a lot.
The series has its moments where there is cool moments. There was cool background story, but it all just seemed like there were a lot of things they tried to do, without doing anything properly.
I don't know what to say about this series. I guess if you like the occasional intense fight, maybe a bit of absurd debacles with the main character, a little bit of fanservice. But I just feel like it didn't do anything that amazing.
If you're feeling adventurous, have at it. Just don't expect much.

This series started out alright. At least storywise. I liked the idea a lot that the world is ruled by numbers aka the amount of stars which you get through fulfilling some conditions or through duelling. The stars also define your status. The reason behind this world-building is one I like a lot as well.
The series has a heavy load of ecchiness which is supposed to be a part of the slapstick but imo it wasn't funny at all since it's also very on the side of sexual harassment. Fans of ecchi might definitely love it though!
The animation is rather average and the character design has sometimes some really strange proportions but at least most faces look nice or even great. I especially like Licht's design and personality (minus the pervert part). He's pure eyecandy and I liked his background story a lot. Some other characters are likeable as well but mostly uninteresting and partially annoying.
I might watch the continuation even if it's only for the world-building and Licht!

You can tell this is a story written by Minazuki Suu. As in like Sora no Otoshimono, not the golfing one (Although that one is awesome too). The amount of comedy and ecchi is dialed down in comparison tho, but this wouldn't be the first time Minazuki Suu did a fully serious manga.

It is messed up. Genre is harem, but for a side char Author also said his fav char is the side char. Side char gets the cliche scenes and one-liners MCs often get. Fights make no sense, in order for side char to say a cool line and make girl blush. Genre is harem, but harem for side char. MC is funny for 1st few eps, but later turns useless and just a trigger for quest, and finish for fights. Fights make no sense. Their star levels don't affect power, even if it's 1 vs 30K+, due to "conviction". side char develops harem in manga. weirdest harem shounen ever.

Plunderer started off interesting with social status and powers being determined by the amount of stars an individual collects through duels. There is good amounts of ecchi, but the plot is very thin and stretched and the characters aren't interesting. What initially started off compelling quickly lost steam as the show progress. For ecchi fans.

I was pleased with the story in general, about the Plunderer, the relationships and the take of the world. What I had issues with, which made me fast forward many times, was the sexism. The tried to make the main character "a slight parvert", but it was full blown sexual harassment. I do hope for a sequal, but I also hope we can skip this personality trait...

When I started watching this anime, I thought it would be just another ecchi anime set in a fantasy world. However, it turned out to be more than that, but not always in a good way. I liked the premise, however, it can be difficult to understand, and the plot twists are very abrupt and sudden, and the tone is very inconsistent and shifts constantly. The characters are mostly likeable, and animation and voice acting were average. I appreciated the fact that it was a 24-episode series, because the story is complex and deserves a long run time, however, it also makes some arcs, such as the final fight, too long. The ending is lame, because really, nothing happens. A second season is hinted, but I think the concept is already exhausted.
Overall, I kinda liked this series, but I understand why many people dropped it. Hard to recommend because of that very reason. So, I would recommend it for action-adventure fans willing to make a compromise in exchange for some fun.
