The music is awful, voices and drawings are average, animation is often poor, the DVD (4/3 screen) I watched had ugly subtitles... but the story and the characters are so good that this anime is a must see, especially if you're looking for intelligent and (mostly) realistic series.
Overall, it's a fantastic ride with a strong atmosphere and enthralling characters. In my opinion, the Pakistan arc is much better than the Russia arc whose conclusion in the final episode is lame. The main character's strong point is that he tries hard to understand who he will negotiate with, and the whole context (economics, beliefs, history, anything that could influence people). He has no super power, no idea of genius, but a strong will and a capacity to talk to anyone. Side characters are more complex than in most short series.
Much recommended. Beware, the is no gore and little blood, but some scenes are hard on the viewer; for instance long "scientific questioning" scenes, Guantanamo-style.
