Lupin has a lively time of it this time in a classic car race from Madrid to Paris. The race prize is Napoleon's dictionary, which contains the key to the Treasure of the Empire, something that just about everybody seems to be after. Lupin and his buddies take off after the prize, pursued not only by the perennial Inspector, but also by an army of secret agents from around the world. Classic cars and state-of-the-art weapons heighten the speed and thrills of this adventure.

ach[br][br]I feel inclined to share that I had some serious indigestion whilst watching this, and this note is relevant because the four hour opera of my most delicious bellymeats was significantly more interesting than this feature.[br][br]The art disnae help. Most of this here film looks much like it were planned produced edited and so on from a single sketchbook, because near all thats going on is relentlessly 2d, with too few good exceptions to justify it. There is even a hand full of art hiccups of a rather inexcusable variety. Character art follows suit, with motion being handled with little technical skill.[br][br]Sound falters a bit, but mainly because the combination of stupendously bland story and composition gives no really good bits for anyone or anything to be outstanding. Its competent across the board, and would probably have delivered anything that would have been required for a good story.[br][br]But they didnt because it werent. In the face of a fairly interesting premise, they managed to progressively maim every single original element for the sake of referencing current events, and recycling the plain old story development of some of the other filums, with no real excitement. On the positive side, the story makes sense up to a point, with a fairly consistent plot development and conclusion, even if did happen to be not worthy of concluding.[br][br]Personal development was even worse than the art, with even more flat characters and caricatures carrying out the time wasting exercise. [br]They even managed to de-dimension most of the main characters, which was a shame.[br][br]Also; a bland combination of light racism and flat concerns over sexism were included in here, Emperor alone knows why, as they did nothing with it.[br][br][br]So.. yeah. It was dated when it came out, and has pretty much nothing going for it in the "check me, i'm awesome" department.[br][br]This is not to say that I hated the thing, but it was just not entertaning in any fashion, which is all I really hoped for .[br]Save your energy.[br]
