Theatre Brook is a rock band was founded in Tokyo in 1986. It has specialised in an intense, funky brand of rock that's firmly rooted in the '70s. The band started out as trio consisting of singer/songwriter Satou Taiji, bassist Nakajou Takashi, and turntable operator Yoshizawa Akihiro, who were augmented during live performances by various "support members".
They debuted in 1988 with the mini-album "Theatre Brook" under Selfish Label. After a few more mini-albums they signed with EPIC/SONY RECORDS in 1995, followed by a mini-album and their first single in November 1995, "Afure Dasu Bakari"
These days only Satou and Nakajou are regular members of the band.
