A notable director associated with Studio Hibari, J.C.Staff, and the now-defunct TYO Animations. He started his career as a production assistant at Trans Arts before going freelance. In 2001 he made his directorial debut with Kuru Kuru Army and in 2002 he switched to using the katakana variation of his name in credits starting with his second directorial work Wagamama Fairy Mirumo de Pon!.
