WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The Collegiate Sports Communicators released its women's swimming and diving Academic All-District selections on Wednesday afternoon and West Chester had three swimmers honored as
Danielle Stewart (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney), Maddy Koehle (State College, Pa./State College), and Lenya Ryan (Wilmington, Del./Mt. Pleasant) were all recognized by the Association for their efforts in the pool and in the classroom.
To be eligible for this award, student-athletes must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 and compete in five competitions
OR finish in the top eight at a conference meet.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 22, 2025 (women) and April 23, 2025 (men).
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division II and III Academic All-America programs.
Koehle became a three-time First Team All-American in the 200 breast this season as she finished eighth at the NCAA Division II Championships in 2:16.98, while also competing in the prelims of the 100 breast and 200 IM. At the PSAC Championships, Koehle helped West Chester to its 22
nd crown in as many Championships with a first-place finish in the 200 breast in 2:17.21, along with second and third-place finishes in the 100 breast and 200 IM in 1:04.24 and 2:04.62, respectively.
Stewart was a four-time finalist at the PSAC Championships, winning the 500 free in 5:00.81 while finishing second in the 1650 free (17:24.82), second in the 1000 free (10:18.73), and seventh in the 200 free (1:53.99).
Ryan was another four-time finalist at the conference meet, finishing second in the 200 breast in 2:21.55, fifth in the 100 breast in 1:06.18, and a pair of sixth-place finishes in the 200 and 400 IM in times of 2:07.47 and 4:39.06.
