    Any West Chester University varsity athlete who is the recipient of financial athletic assistance must be in good academic standing based upon NCAA and WCU policy.  The University reserves the right to, and may, postpone or cancel athletic aid should a student-athlete violate the financial contract.
 
    The renewal of athletics financial aid shall be made on or before July 1 prior to the academic year for which the aid will be awarded.  Additional information concerning the renewal and non-renewal of financial aid may be found in Bylaw 15 of the NCAA Manual.
 
    Athletics financial assistance may be reduced or canceled if the student-athlete renders himself or herself ineligible for athletic competition, fraudulently misrepresents any information on a letter of intent of financial aid agreement, engages in serious misconduct, including not reporting for practice, or voluntarily withdraws from participating in a sport for personal reasons.
