In a former life, Liam taught primary schoolchildren up in his native north Antrim before a career change led him into his first journalism job at the Derry Post, covering the north-west area. Joining the Belfast Telegraph in 2022, the Rasharkin man has written extensively on health matters and has an interest in investigative work, recently exposing concerns over an expensive online brand-building scheme being run by an NI man. As a fluent Irish speaker, Liam has also appeared in both print and broadcast media in the Irish language sector as a contributor. A devoted GAA man, Liam still togs out for his local club St Mary’s Rasharkin, where he also helps coach youth teams in his spare time and forms part of the club’s public relations team.
