I tried a 'must-have' celebrity-beloved LED mask after Emily in Paris sparked a mega trend - here's what I found after four weeks

The Current Body LED mask made a splash when Netflix's favourite girl-next-door was spotted wearing it in season three of Emily in Paris.

Now the problematic yet chic brunette is back on screens and I just had to see if the mask really had anything to do with her city of love glow.

To make my transformation even more realistic, just like Emily, I have had quite the month personally while also juggling my career in a big city.

Once I (and the people in my home) adjusted to how horrifying I would be looking for ten minutes a night, five times per week it was go time.

I used Current Body's Green Tea Serum and two sheet masks during my four-week trial of the device, and continued with my nightly cleanser but ditched all other skin care to see how the device really performed.

And I am impressed. The $585 gadget made my skin feel tighter and improved my complexion - despite my chaotic few weeks which really should have wreaked havoc on my face.

A side benefit is the mask helped me wind down at night. By the time I had relaxed for ten minutes with it going I was ready to roll over and go to sleep.

The Current Body mask is said to be the world’s most powerful TGA approved LED face mask and features 132 lights.

It is also surprisingly comfortable. I have used LED masks before and none of them felt easy to wear. Though I have definitely dosed off in the Current Body one.

The mask comes with a corded remote - which is also the battery pack and is charged separately to the device.

The remote is easy to use as it just has one button - which turns it off and on. Though you don't need to turn it off as it has a timer so after the 10-minute treatment time it switches off automatically.

I only needed to charge my mask once in four weeks, about three weeks in, after noticing the light was dimmer. I thought I would give it a crack and charge it that night but it switched off before the ten minutes was up - forcing me to charge it and do the treatment properly.

The mask is loved among celebrities, also after the trademark glow, including Gal Gadot, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and Cillian Murphy.

The mask comes with a dust bag and also goggles to block out the red light - I didn't use them though the light is bright so if you have sensitive eyes they would come in handy.

After just four weeks I noticed some of my finer lines had disappeared, the texture of my skin had improved and I had a 'glow' about me.

So what's the science behind the tech? The non-invasive treatment combines red and near infra-red light, the two wavelengths working below the skin's surface to stimulate the natural rejuvenation process.

Boosting collagen and blood circulation, the skin is left visibly glowing and noticeably healthier looking.

The results are so noticeable after using the LED mask that 95 per cent of users said their skin tone, texture, firmness and tightness was improved.

I am excited to see how my skin continues to improve with the mask, as many of the reviews said while they noticed changes at four weeks as I have it was at eight weeks they really saw their faces change.
