A comedy show that fans have described as 'sharp, smart and sassy' is now available to stream for free, and the first season has an impressive Rotten Tomatoes score.

The Sex Lives of College Girls hit screens in America back in 2021 and stars Pauline Chalamet, Reneé Rapp, Amrit Kaur and Alyah Chanelle Scott.

It follows four 18-year-old women - Bella, Kimberly, Leighton and Whitney - as they navigate life together as roommates at Essex College in Vermont.

The witty comedy sees the group deal with relationship problems, romance and self discovery.

Originally the first two seasons were broadcast in America, but earlier this month the third, along with the rest of the series, was added to ITVX - making it free for fans in the UK to watch.

The Sex Lives of College Girls has been highly praised by viewers and the first season even scored 97% on review site Rotten Tomatoes, with an average of 74% for the entire show so far.

A review in Entertainment Weekly read: 'Created by Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble, Sex Lives shares the same sharp, smart, and sassy comedic sensibility as Never Have I Ever, while tackling a wider range of young-adult issues.'

Meanwhile some fans left their verdicts on the three different seasons on review site Rotten Tomatoes, with most praising the show, but a handful not so impressed.

One viewer wrote: 'Excellent comedy with sass and heart. The four main characters are compelling to watch, as is there getting to know each other and become friends.';

'Amazing and I love this show. I love the girls and the story line.';

'Funny and fresh. We need more comedy shows like this about post-high school young adults.';

'Wow! This show knows how to get a message across through fun. The cores of each of the characters are specific and not boring. I definitely want more!';

'The second season was fantastic. I was amazed and enjoyed all the characters development. Cannot wait to see my girls for the third season.'

One viewer, discussing the new season, said: 'I loved season 3. I was sad to see Reneé Rapp leave, and at first wasn't sure how I would feel about Kacey, but ended up loving her and her last scene had me in tears.

'Huge fan of Bela and loved her revelation at the end, and her evolution through the season as a wild and irresponsible, becoming a more thoughtful person while still maintaining her unique personality.

'I also loved seeing Kimberly break out of her rigidity and Whitney stand up for herself. I thought the show talked about a lot of real stuff while still being hilarious and fun.'

Though others were not as impressed with some of the series and one viewer wrote: 'This show is broad comedy garbage.';

'There are things to like about the show but, I would like it more had it been more smartly written.'

Writing about the third instalment one said: 'Season 3 so far is just super boring and not very funny.'

It comes after comedy fans couldn't contain their excitement as beloved show, Dave Gorman Modern Life is Goodish, is set to return later this month.

It was announced last year that the British comedy television series would be making an exciting comeback to screens after being off air for seven years.

Now, on February 24, the comedy show starring Dave Gorman, 53, will be returning to the UK TV channel U&Dave for a series of three hour-long specials - and fans couldn't be more thrilled.

Taking to Reddit, one fan wrote: 'Absolutely loved MLIG and I’ve watched every episode multiple times.'
