Emily Atack's eye-popping naked tennis scene in Disney+ series Rivals is nominated for most memorable moment at the BAFTA TV Awards 2025

Emily Atack's memorable naked tennis scene in the smash hit series Rivals has been nominated at the 2025 BAFTA TV Awards.

The actress, 35, stripped off naked while starring as Sarah Stratton in Disney's raucous comedy series, based off the 1988 novel Jilly Cooper.

The now-famous scene sees Emily's character Sarah playing tennis with Alex Hassell's character Rupert Campbell Black while they were both naked.

The lovers are interrupted by Agatha (Bella Maclean) and Sarah strategically covers her modesty with tennis balls, while Rupert boldly bares all in the very racy scene.

It is one of the most notable from the sexy series and has been deemed as one of the most memorable TV moments of the year.

The scene is among the six nominees for the P&O Cruises Memorable Moment award at the 2025 TV BAFTAs.

In another raunchy offering, it is competing against Bridgerton's racy carriage scene, where Colin (Luke Newton) admits his feelings for Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) before they lock lips.

Also in the running is when Mick (Larry Lamb) stands up in objection at Smithy's (James Corden) wedding in Gavin & Stacey: The Finale, helping him realise his love for Nessa (Ruth Jones).

Mr Bates Vs The Post Office is also nominated for when Jo Hamilton (Monica Dolan) phoned the Horizon helpline while The Traitors is recognised for Diane Carson's iconic quote: 'Paul isn't my son … but Ross is!'

Lastly, Strictly Come Dancing received a nod for Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell's waltz to You'll Never Walk Alone - their final dance on the show which secured them a perfect score.

After Emily's nude Rivals scene aired, the comedian was forced to hit back at trolls who targeted her with 'sexually aggressive' attention.

Emily shared her frustration after receiving negative comments about the nude scene and said it is her job and she is 'playing a part'.

She told The Times: 'I knew something like that would happen, just not this quickly. I'm at work, I'm playing a part, that scene is integral to the book.

'I am exactly where I need to be. I can't control people's sexually aggressive behaviour, but I can continue with my campaigning and fighting for women's freedom.

'I should be able to do a scene like this and not receive negative attention. The two should not go hand in hand.'

Emily slammed a woman for messaging her to say she should 'expect messages' when doing racy roles, and instead argued she shouldn't have to quit her job because of cruel trolls.

Emily also revealed she feels 'sexier than ever' after her 'liberating' naked tennis scene and lingerie-clad romps in Rivals.

She told Hello!: 'People keep asking me if I'm going to the gym but I'm not.

'I'm a mum, I've got rolly bits and I'm healthy, feeling sexier than ever and playing a bombshell in an amazing series.

'In my teens all I wanted to be was a size eight or 10. Our value always depends on what size we are and it shouldn't be that way.'

Speaking of the iconic nude scene, Emily reflected: 'Of course it was nerve-racking but by the end, but by the end of the day I felt very liberated.

'It's such a famous scene in the book and I wanted to get it right.'
