EXCLUSIVEMade In Chelsea star signs up for Love Island USA after boasting about 'crazy passion' with ex who married his former best friend

Made In Chelsea star Miles Nazaire has signed up to Love Island USA, MailOnline can reveal.

The E4 favourite, who's previously appeared on Dancing On Ice and Celebs Go Dating, hopes to finally find the woman of his dreams in the TV villa following a string of failed romances.

Miles, 29, whose ex-girlfriend Maeva D'Ascanio, 32, married his former best friend James Taylor, jets off this summer, leaving Chelsea behind for Fiji, where the US version of the show is filmed.

A TV insider told MailOnline that Miles longs for a serious, long-lasting relationship after flings with the likes of co-stars Jasmine Saunders, who recently came out as gay, Ruby Adler, and Tiffany Watson didn't work out.

A source said: 'Producers were very keen to sign Miles, there's still an audition process on shows like Love Island and he definitely fits the criteria for a perfect Islander.

'It's come at the best time for Miles who's finally looking to settle down after being single for years and struggling with his own commitment issues.

'Being the US series of the dating show is a huge plus, hopefully the contestants won't have any preconceived ideas about him and his reputation on Made In Chelsea.

'Miles is even prepared to move to the US for the right woman, he's certainly ready to put all his eggs in one basket.'

Speaking in an interview last year, Miles reacted to being a branded a 'f*** boy' and 'misogynist' after having his love life heavily documented on the E4 show.

Explaining how he met his ex when he was 19 years old, he said: 'I met Maeva and fell in love, I didn't go out for three years, she was a bit older than me, so I had to grow up faster and I realised that I needed to be more of a mature man even though I was a boy.

'When we broke up it was like I was released and I got to experience the University life, dating life, I felt so relieved, I was the happiest guy ever.

'I went on TV and did this show, and I just had loads and loads of fun, it was just so exciting.

'I think that's why people say I'm such a f*** boy, I just didn't experience being young and what's wrong with dating and having fun? I never made anyone my girlfriend.

'People say I'm so bad with girls but I was just having fun.'

MailOnline has contacted Miles's representative for comment.

Miles and Maeva were together for three years before the aftermath of their split was captured in scenes filmed for Made In Chelsea.

Maeva often melded in Miles's romantic life and would tell potential suitors not to date him due to his womanising tendencies.

In a shocking turn of events, Maeva ended up romancing Miles's best pal James, which resulted in the colossal end of their friendship.

James and Maeva, who married in December 2023, share a two-year-old son together called Beau.

Last year, Miles reignited his feud with Maeva by speaking openly on a TikTok about the feelings he once had for his co-star.

He described their love for each other as 'obsessive' and said they shared a 'crazy passion', which some fans deemed disrespectful given Maeva's marital status.

In recent years, Miles has overhauled his lifestyle, regularly going months without drinking alcohol and staying away from the partying scene.

Part of his journey, which has seen him focus on health and fitness, saw the star appear on Celebs Go Dating in 2022, where his past dating behaviour was called out by relationship expert Paul Brunson.

During difficult scenes, Paul, who accused Miles of being 'selfish', said: 'What's interesting about all these interactions is they are very shallow, very surface level, no emotion... I still to this day don't know who you are. It's not just for relationships, it's for you, you have to change this.'

Miles replied: 'I don't know how to swallow what you just said... I'm angry because I feel like you've had a snippet of my life and I'm grateful for your feedback but there are some things that I just won't stand for.'
