Eastern University Athletics Mission Statement

The Eastern University athletic department offers an intercollegiate athletic program that both challenges and supports student athletes in their intellectual, physical, interpersonal and spiritual development. The athletics program seeks to supplement the classroom experience, and enhance the overall quality of the educational experience.

Compliance

Eastern University is a member of NCAA Division III and the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference. As an institution, we are committed to following rules for eligibility, recruitment, and competition. Heidi Birtwistle, Eastern's Director of Athletic Compliance, will use this page to post important compliance related documents and forms. Transferring between Division III Institutions 

Individuals looking to transfer from one Division III Institution to another need to fill out a self-release before communicating with any individual for the athletic department of the institution they are looking to transfer to. That release is active for thirty days at which point, if there is still communication between the transferring athlete and the new institution, that new institution is required to inform the original institution of the communication between them and the student-athlete.
