Ryerson and Groß exchange clever passes down the right flank, before the latter cuts inside his marker and dinks a ball across the box. Gittens, who's only been on the field eight minutes, rises high and plants a neat header inside the far post. Lovely play from Dortmund.

Brandt prevents a Freiburg attack near the centre circle and launches one for Dortmund. He exchanges passes with Chukwuemeka, whose return sends the German clear through on goal. Brandt races into the box and has time to pick his spot, though unselfishly opts to square it to Guirassy, who has joined him in attack. The Guinean can simply roll his shot into a now-unguarded net.

Amazing scenes in the Mainz box. Steven Skrzybski nods the ball past Zentner, who can only look back to see the effort bouncing off the upright. Armin Gigović looks to score on the follow up, but by then Zentner has recovered to pull off one more magnificent stop.

Woltemade is played through to the byline. It looks as though Ordets will shepherd it out for Bochum, but the big forward manages to get round him to poke a hopeful ball into the box. Demirović reacts quickest, opting for the first-time shot, but his powerful effort is straight at Horn, who manages to parry with a good reflex save to deny the Bosnian.

Dortmund work the ball down the left, where Adeyemi feeds inside, 30 metres from goal. Beier takes a touch and pokes it into the path of a rampant Chukwuemeka, who has space to run at goal. He takes an age to shoot but, when he eventually does from the edge of the area, it takes a deflection that sees his effort loop over Müller and into the net.

That goal has really deflated the Bochum fans here. Stuttgart work it out to Führich on the left, who draws pressure before playing it down the line to Hendriks. The full-back whips a dangerous cross into the six-yard box, finding Demirović, who had lost his man to poke it home unmarked. Bochum have a mountain to climb here...

Ryerson charges down the right and whips a good ball across the face of goal. It's headed away to the edge. Groß takes a swing at it but it's blocked into the path of Adeyemi, just to the left of goal, inside the box. The Germany forward brings it under control, takes a touch round a defender and fires home from a tight angle.

This is something special from Alexander Bernhardsson, who collects a pass at the edge of the area, to the right. The Swede sends a superb, high strike towards the far post and the ball crashes in off the woodwork. A goal of the weekend contender all the way.

Rieder finds himself with time and space for a shot from the edge of the Bochum box and strikes a powerful, low, left-footed effort towards the bottom right corner. It strikes the post before bouncing off the back of the goalkeeper, but it spins away from the goal-line and the angle proves too tight for Woltemade on the follow-up. That could not have been much closer to a third...

Minutes after levelling, Leipzig are now set to have a numerical advantage for the remaining 70-odd minutes as Leo Østigård is sent off for fouling Loïs Openda and denying a clear goalscoring opportunity.

What a start for Stuttgart here! A Hendriks throw is brought down by Woltemade, who tussles with a couple of Bochum defenders before shifting it across to Karazor. The captain just lifts the ball over the Bochum back line and into the path of Demirović, who chips it over the outrushing Horn to make it two to the visitors.

How about that? Hoffenheim take the lead in Leipzig, and it comes from Gulácsi gifting the ball away to Touré from a clearance. The Hoffenheim youngster turns it across to Bischof, who smashes a brilliant swirling drive past the goalkeeper and into the net from 30 yards out!

The first corner of the game pays dividends for Stuttgart. An inswinger is played in from the left by Karazor, finding an unmarked Chabot at the far post, who just pokes it home with an outstretched boot.

An early chance for Hoffenheim as 19-year-old Bazoumana Touré races clear of David Raum to meet a deep pass and force a double save from the alert Gulácsi.
