Eggestein scores! Lifeline for Freiburg?
Dōan is sent sprinting down the right flank, where he controls the ball near the byline and plays it across goal to Eggestein. The midfielder takes a touch, unmarked inside the area, and rifles an effort inside the left post. Too little, too late?
85'
One-way traffic
Dortmund come forward in waves as Freiburg seem to have shrunk back into themselves since going 4-0 down. This could get even worse for the home side.

Gittens on target!
Ryerson and Groß exchange clever passes down the right flank, before the latter cuts inside his marker and dinks a ball across the box. Gittens, who's only been on the field eight minutes, rises high and plants a neat header inside the far post. Lovely play from Dortmund.
77'
Dōan skies one
The Japanese shows good feet to get away from two defenders down the right, before cutting inside and unleashing from the edge of the box. It's high and wide, however.
76'
Dortmund sit deep
The visitors seem content to protect their lead for the time being, sitting deep inside their own half and looking to keep Freiburg at arm's length.
74'
Dōan denied!
Freiburg work the ball down the left flank before squaring it across the area, where Dōan races onto it near the back post. His effort is blocked and he's felled in the process, requiring medical attention. It looks like nothing more than cramp.

Guirassy makes it three!
Brandt prevents a Freiburg attack near the centre circle and launches one for Dortmund. He exchanges passes with Chukwuemeka, whose return sends the German clear through on goal. Brandt races into the box and has time to pick his spot, though unselfishly opts to square it to Guirassy, who has joined him in attack. The Guinean can simply roll his shot into a now-unguarded net.
66'
Professional foul
Ginter drags Guirassy down near the halfway line and deservedly goes in the book.
64'
Guirassy close!
The striker almost makes an instant impact. Adeyemi is sent chasing down the left and cuts the ball across the face of goal from the byline. It finds Guirassy on the penalty spot but it's just behind the Guinean, who can't keep his shot down. It sails over for a goal kick.
63'
Double swap for Dortmund
The changes include the introduction of top scorer Guirassy, who will be hoping to put the game out of Freiburg's reach.

Freiburg look to hit back
Freiburg go close twice in quick succession, with Adamu hitting Kobel from close range before Höler fires wide of the right post.
52'
Chukwuemeka gets lucky!
Dortmund work the ball down the left, where Adeyemi feeds inside, 30 metres from goal. Beier takes a touch and pokes it into the path of a rampant Chukwuemeka, who has space to run at goal. He takes an age to shoot but, when he eventually does from the edge of the area, it takes a deflection that sees his effort loop over Müller and into the net.
50'
Dōan lively
The Japanese forward has been dangerous from the kick off. He cuts in from the right flank, beats a man and fires towards goal from distance. But his effort is deflected behind for a corner.
46'
Huge chance!
What a start to the second period, as the home side go agonisingly close to equalising straight from kick off. Grifo sends a long ball upfield and Höler flicks it on into the path of Dōan, just metres from goal. The forward takes aim but Kobel starfishes in front of him and denies from point blank range.

Adeyemi makes the breakthrough!
Ryerson charges down the right and whips a good ball across the face of goal. It's headed away to the edge. Groß takes a swing at it but it's blocked into the path of Adeyemi, just to the left of goal, inside the box. The Germany forward brings it under control, takes a touch round a defender and fires home from a tight angle.
33'
Dortmund dangerous
Chukwuemeka draws a foul on the left flank, not too far from goal. Groß takes but it's overhit and sails behind for a goalkick.
31'
Adeyemi menacing
The Dortmund forward races to the left flank to keep a stray ball in play before homing in on goal. He nutmegs a defender just inside the area before playing it across a crowded box. Freiburg manage to recover and clear but it's good work from the Germany international.
29'
Höler hurt
The player goes down and receives medical attention while the game pauses for a moment. He leaves the field of play and waits to be summoned back on by the referee.
24'
Adeyemi dangerous
The Dortmund forward dances down the left flank, reaches the byline just inside the Freiburg penalty area and crosses, but Müller stands firm to catch.

Freiburg cry penalty!
Dōan crosses low from the right flank and Bensebaini looks to clear. He gets his feet muddled, however, and the ball ricochets up and onto his arm, near to goal. The home crowd go wild but the referee is having none of it.
14'
Adamu misses a sitter!
Freiburg attack down the right, as a beautiful defence-splitting pass finds Makengo free inside the Dortmund box. He unselfishly squares it across the goalkeeper for a tap in but Adamu gets his feet muddled and it spoons out of play. His blushes are spared by a raised flag but it might not have been offside actually. He won't want to see that replay!
13'
Bensebaini close!
Dortmund take a corner from the left and it finds Bensebaini at the back stick. He heads down towards goal but his effort lacks power and is cleared off the line calmly.
12'
Visitors get stuck in
Freiburg repeatedly look to build up from the back but Dortmund's high press is working well so far, forcing turnovers and causing chaos.
10'
Dortmund on the attack
A long ball is lofted from the right towards Freiburg's back post and Svensson rises to meet it. There isn't enough power behind it though and Müller gathers.
8'
Freiburg shoot first
The home side work the ball smartly into the box to Dōan but the Japanese forward's shot is blocked from close range.

Scrappy start
A lot of long balls from both goalkeepers, aerial challenges and tackles in the centre circle at the start of this game.

Kovač on squad availability
"Serhou is on the road to recovery. We assume that he will be available again at the weekend. Niklas Süle and Emre Can haven't trained yet, so we'll have to see. Felix will hopefully be part of the squad at the weekend. Nico and Yan are suspended."

Dortmund have the upper hand
This will be the 50th Bundesliga meeting between the two teams, and it has fair to say it has been almost one-way traffic so far. In the previous 49 matches, Freiburg have managed just five victories compared to BVB's 33.

European battle
These two teams are separated by just four points in the table, with both outfit looking to secure themselves a spot in Europe next term. Freiburg, though, are now without a win in their past four, while Dortmund ended a run of back-to-back losses last time out. This clash, therefore, is crucial to both teams' run-in.
