This one belongs to a genre of anime that, in my opinion, was a thing back in the 2014-2016 time frame but that, nowadays, it's kinda rare. A harem set in a school where they make the students fight themselves in tournaments. In this anime's case, the protagonist was better than your standard harem lead, but still, not what I would call great. The selection of females for the harem was diverse, with some really likeable characters. I liked the animation, which was remarkably good and featuring vibrant colors. Now, the plot was just average. The protagonist meets a girl and then builds a harem, and there's some conflict regarding the past, but it really goes nowhere. Season 2 tries to tackle this a bit, but does not succeed in all cases, and there's never a real sense of closure.
Overall, an average approach to the genre with some really good aspects, but average nevertheless. For harem fans. And for romance fans, it's also worthy of a try.

Predictable plot and character arcs, but:
- likable characters with meaningful motivations
- no excess fat, thus tight pacing
- comparatively high production values
- has a prime kuudere (<3 Saya)

Boy meets girl. Boy is all powerful. Girl is powerful too so they team up and enter an academy tag team duel competition. Girl attracted to boy. Rest of academy girls attracted to boy aaaaand there you go! A vague summary of what you get from this anime which is quite a good deal. Sure you have seen the recipe,oh so many times by now but it is a good recipe none the less! Character design and art style is pretty and there is some minimal eye candy as well. Good choice for Harem/Action/romance fans!

From all the light novel-sci fi-harem-animes, it's one of the better ones. Nice animation, likeable characters and lots of actions. The pacing is good, not too slow or too fast, enough plots and not too much harem. With both seasons together it has a nice length too.

With students being able to wield weapons that have different powers, most of this series is duel/tournament based, which this part of the series was intriguing. However, the harem/ecchi/slapstick were average and very cliche at times. With most tournament based series, it always ends just as the tournament starts to pick up. This series has an interesting plot but has normal harem and ecchi elements... still season 1 is a fun watch.

Yup, quiet enjoyable, but I had that feeling that this show focuses on wrong things... Sometimes you see more of side characters than Ayato and main plot. Also there are a lot of side plots, which are started, but there's no time to finish any of them at least in season one. So looking forward to season 2, hope anything will be explained.

It was quiet enjoyable. I cant say it is the best I've seen but not a bad watch. Has some good plots that hopefully get taken care of in the next season. It does have a predictable harem esque feel about it but it doesn't make it less enjoyable!

Absolutely enjoyable show. Lots of fighting, interesting characters and a ton of unsolved plot points left for the second season. Don't watch alongside Rakudai Kishi though as you'll get the two confused, they are very similar.

Lots of fights, some decent character background, and of course lots of harem.
There's nothing spectacular about this series, but it's still entertaining. Can't say it was a waste of time.
