GROZNY, April 22. /TASS/. The Akhmat special forces unit prevented an attempt by Ukrainian troops to cross the Russian border in the Sumy area, Chechnya head Ramzan Kadyrov.

"In the morning, the enemy made an attempt to break through the state border. However, they did not consider the main thing: The border is under the reliable control of the Akhmat special forces unit of the Russian Defense Ministry. Soldiers of the Aid group of the Akhmat special forces unit of the Russian Defense Ministry carried out preemptive mining, which helped foil the enemy's plan," he wrote on Telegram.

According to the official, an enemy armored fighting vehicle exploded on the minefield and was finished off by a precise strike of a fiber-optic drone.

"The attempted evacuation by an armored recovery vehicle brought another loss for the enemy: The vehicle was destroyed. The work was done professionally, quickly and with maximum efficiency. Our fighters are not just holding the line, but they are several steps ahead of the enemy," Kadyrov said.
