MOSCOW, April 22. /TASS/. Russia will reduce import duties on French perfumes, eau de toilette and hair products to 20% from 35%, the Industry and Trade Ministry said in a statement.

In general, the list of countries subject to increased duties on imports of perfumes, cosmetics and household chemicals into Russia has expanded, but some countries - such as Hungary, Slovakia and the Republic of Korea - have been excluded from it.

France and Italy have also been added to the list of exceptions for certain categories.

"France has been added to the list of exceptions in the category 'powder', and Italy in the categories 'powder' and 'lip make-up products'. In addition, French products in the categories 'perfume', 'eau de toilette' and 'hair products' will now be subject to a duty of 20%, rather than 35%," the statement said.
